Prework Information for Geographic Local Fire Management Leadership - April 9-13, 2012 - Missoula, MT
The prework for GLFML includes reading and understanding the 1995 Wildland Fire Policy by opening the attachments below. Included attachments are updates and terminology and how it became established. It will be critical to know this information for discussion during the week.
In addition to the Wildland Fire Policy, please become familiar with your local unit's Fire Management Plan and be ready to discuss policies. The due date for prework is April 9th as class commences.
During the week of class, we will be combining M-581 Fire Program Management class with the GLFML group on Wednesday for interactive exercises and discussion of fire policies. This M581 class is comprised of Fire Staff, FMO's, and AFMO's and we feel by bringing both classes together will provide critical insight between line officers and fire managers.
If anyone has questions regarding prework or other details, please feel free to give a call or send an email to the course coordinator any time.
Thanks and see you all in April.
